The New Jersey Child Welfare Data Map
*The contextual data on the left side provide social and economic context for child outcomes in New Jersey.
The Data Map provides an interface for the display of statewide and county child welfare and well-being data in New Jersey. Child welfare figures are obtained from the Child Protection and Permanency Division of the NJ Department of Children and Families. Child behavioral health and disability data are obtained from the Childrenʼs System of Care Division of the NJ Department of Children and Families. Data presented reflects the most current figures available. County values may not sum to statewide totals as some addresses are unknown or out-of-state. In order to protect the privacy of children and families represented on this site, data suppression has been activated on the map: Data displays as <10 when the total count for a particular county is fewer than 10, and when percentages and rates are based on these counts. The Data Map is maintained by the Institute for Families at the Rutgers School of Social Work, an independent third party responsible for the data presented.
